Privacy Policy

This is a courtesy translation. The German version at falz.myappz.mobi/datenschutz is legally binding.

This privacy policy applies to the iOS app Falz and this website (falz.myappz.mobi). The short version up front: Falz does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics services, and no servers of our own.

2. Data processing in the app

2.1 Your documents

Scanned documents, recognized text (OCR), titles, and categories are stored exclusively locally on your device. If you choose to, Falz additionally places a copy in your personal iCloud Drive (folder “Falz”). This iCloud storage takes place through your Apple account under Apple’s privacy policy; we have no access to it.

2.2 Text recognition and AI naming

Text recognition (OCR) and automatic naming/categorization run entirely on your device (Apple Vision and Apple Intelligence on-device models). Document contents are never transmitted to us or to third parties at any time.

2.3 Face ID lock

The optional app lock uses the biometric features of iOS (Face ID / Touch ID). Biometric data remains in your device’s Secure Enclave; the app only receives the information “successful / not successful”.

2.4 In-app purchase “Falz Pro”

The purchase is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive any personal data in the process (no name, no payment details). Apple’s privacy policy applies.

2.5 No analytics, no advertising

The app contains no tracking or analytics SDKs and no advertising.

3. Data processing on this website

3.1 Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider (ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany) automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, user agent) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). The log files are automatically deleted after a short period.

3.2 No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics or marketing services.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right of access (Art. 15), the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77). Since we do not store any personal data about you in the app or on the website, access requests will usually come up empty — if in doubt, simply contact us at hello@bartel-media.de.

5. Changes

We will update this privacy policy whenever the app or the website changes. Last updated: July 2026.
